Rob Davis joined IDS Scheer UK in October 2008 as a Senior Business Process Management Consultant. His role is to promote and support the use of the ARIS Platform, worldwide for implementing Business Process Management (BPM). His key areas of interest will be Enterprise BPM, use of the ARIS Design Platform and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).


Previously Rob was principal Consultant for Process Architecture and Process Modelling for Brtish Telecommunication plc (BT) in the UK. Rob worked for BT for 24 years in a number of roles including electronic engineeering, software engineering research, artificial intelligence and Component Based Development. He was responsible for the roll out and implementation of ARIS in BT and provide ARIS consulting to a wide range of internal projects and external clients. Before leaving BT he was process architect for the customer experience aspects of the processes for BT's 21C new wave network.

Rob has been involved in process modelling and design for more than nine years and is an internationally recognised expert in Business Process Management and the use of the ARIS Business Process Modelling Tool from IDS Scheer.

Rob holds a 'Red Badge' Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL) and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC); an award given by the Institute of Management Consultancy.

Rob specialises in providing leading edge technical consulting in Business Process Management (BPM), process design and modelling, process design for Service Management and ITIL, enterprise modelling and the effective use of ARIS Tool.

Rob is the author of four books on ARIS and Component-based Development and is a much sort after speaker at international conferences.

Current aims:

  • Establish business process engineering as a professional discipline for ensuring the enterprise is managed efficiently and with due diligence.
  • Establish tools and methods for integrating process and systems (IT) design to closley link BPM and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
